Vday
VdayBecause hospital gown selfies are soooo fashionable. Also, the day I was told what is inhabiting my right breast.
Delayed trip
Delayed tripWaiting on a TTC train at Davisville, because waiting on a TTC train has become the norm.

SubwayLate nights at work, require subway rides home.
Convenience is...
Convenience is...All the drug store's and convenience stores down town. Though, not so convenient tonight as they were out of my favourite flavour bottom centre :(

Take a seatBecause why not colourful muskoka chairs in the middle of the city? These are on King Street in the curb lane - part of a pilot project.

Afternoon Commute
Afternoon CommuteUniversity Ave and King Street by St. Andrew Station, afternoon commute home. I took the subway to Queen's park and then the bus the rest of the way. I was going to walk the whole way to Queen's Park, but I left work a few minutes late (realized my time on my laptop is slow), and was afraid I'd miss the bus. Next time, I leave promptly!
The Core
The CoreI love this view of the 'core' (Toronto business district, walking south on University, just before Queen Street. This is a shit picture, but the view is so nice in real life. It's like mountains of office buildings, stacked on one another.
Reflection
ReflectionA lunch time walk in downtown Toronto on a Friday afternoon. A break from work. I always need to go out and walk at lunch. Partly because I need some fresh air, but mainly because as an introvert, I need the respite from all the people in my office. A reflection photo because why not - but also indicative of how I've been feeling for awhile. Alone, with the world passing by.
Mammography And Ultrasound Appointment
Mammography And Ultrasound Appointment Find out what's going on... I was thinking today throughout this process that I am lucky to live where healthcare is so accessible. I am lucky. Also the fact of how much trust you implicitly give over when you accept an appointment. Things can go quite fast. Medical staff and doctor's talk so fast but in general, you trust the system (from the moment an appointment was made). Here I am about to get my breasts examined by someone unknown to me to then suddenly getting a biopsy done. Fast and furious but accessible. I'm not complaining.
Priveleged
PrivelegedAs much as I don't have savings or disposable income, I still think about all the privilege I do have. I live in a relatively safe city. I have a nice apt and place to put my feet up. I have a job that (just) pays the bills. More than many in this world have.
Downtown
DowntownSo this is not the greatest photo. But that's not what this project is about. Why I like the city i live in; what are my favourite places and why. The 'why' is the hard part. I can emphatically tell you I love downtown Toronto, and specifically the core bounded by Spadina, Front, Bloor and Jarvis. In particular the business district. There is something about the majesty of the buildings. The awe that strikes me whenever I see them. It never gets old. And then to that you add the multitudes of different sites to see, the architecture and bea5utful creativity in the buildings and the people. And then you also add light(!) on top of that that it leaves me admiring and inspired.
Z-Teca
Z-TecaZ-Teca is my favourite burrito place. My office relocated to Front Street as of today. At lunch I went for a walk and passed by Z-Tech. As I got close I noticed the windows were covered up. This location has closed due to condo’s going up. Ironic as I just moved back to the area.
Making Breakfast
Making BreakfastI make chocolate banana smoothie every day for breakfast before work.
Ikea
IkeaDecided I had to get the Kivik Ottoman and went for a last minute late trip, to Ikea just before the store closed. Also, one of my favourite places.
